The AINTscience Quick startguide and the AINTscience User Guide are available for free to anyone for their own personal use, as well as for all single individual businesses that have no employees other than the proprietor. They are available here: Link to the AINTscience Quick start guide in .pdf form Link to the AINTscience User Guide in .pdf form The User Guide is also available online in HTML form. Please note that the documents are copyrighted, and all rights are reserved, except as stated here. Specifically, the documents may not be included in any publication, neither in whole or part, and may not be redistributed in print, copied from in derivative works or placed on the Internet in any shape or form. Links to this website are very welcome, but everyone who wants the documents should download them from this site. For businesses with employees and everyone who wants also the AINTscience reference manual, a business licence is available here at $49. It's like buying a book, except for one big difference: You can legally make up to 49 copies of these two documents for use within your company. That's cheap, but we aim to please. If your company has more than 50 employees, and you decide to use AINTscience, you must buy one licence (at US$ 49.00) per 50 employees to copy it legally. However, we have no experience with using AINTscience for bigger companies, so we are not sure it will work well. If you try, please let us know the results. To get an AINTscience business licence, you pay by credit card or PayPal, and you get a username and password in your e-mail that you use to log in and download the Reference manual.
As a business user, you may of course read the User guide first, but you should also have the reference manual if you want to implement AINTscience in any organization. Happy reading! AINTscience ain't science, but we're darned proud of it, and it works. As an AINTscience business licencee, you also get the AINTscience Reference Manual, which is written for system administrators and other geeks who love details and understanding the nuts and bolts. What the Reference manual is forThe following is taken from the reference manual, explaining the difference between it and the User guide: The Reference manual contains a relatively complete description of what Arisland's Information Taxonomy (AINTscience) is. In keeping with common practice in the computing industry, the reference manual ain't meant to be a teaching tool, but instead a place to look for precise and authoritative definitions and answers to questions about what AINTscience is and how it works. For a gentle introduction to AINTscience, the user guide is the document to read. The user guide is written for those who want an entry-level text-book that explains in a pedagogical manner how AINTscience works, and teaches step by step how to use it with examples. The user guide is not written to answer every question, though, that's what the reference manual is for. Please note that both the reference manual and the user guide mostly cover the same ground, but from the different perspectives described. They are structured differently, and the user guide is more descriptive while the reference manual is both more terse and more complete. As an introductory textbook, the user guide is recommended, for the technically minded who wants the gory details, the reference manual is it. |
